Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between planning and coordinating ?

Planning

Planning is a very extensive process. We help with the planning of your entire event! From where and when you're going to have it, creating budgets, calling vendors , scheduling appointments to looking over contacts! We are genuinely here to help you through every step of the process. A planner will help you with your up event details up to your wedding date.

We are very well versed in the industry and here at Eternal we take the time to do our research and stay up to date with the current trends.

Coordination

A coordinator is going to help put in place everything the planner has planned. In the industry when most people or venues are referring to coordination, they are referring to day of. Day of coordinators help focus on the details and logistics. A day of coordinator will help execute the timeline and schedule of your day, make sure to direct vendors where to go and are on time and in place and overall ensure your event runs smoothly from beginning to end. Day of coordinators are very important which is why most times they are required and is important to try and find the space in their budget for one.

What’s the difference between a Decorating and Design?

Decorating is a very light term. What we do is more than an Aunt or Friend who shows up the hour of to help you decorate a small birthday party. Its not just a few light hours of work. If you are just looking for someone who will come for a few hours and set up we consider that Event Staff and you can pay for just labor and purchase the supplies for the party or event yourself.

Design.

I consider myself a Luxury Event Designer. From the day you book with us to design an event we are planning, shopping, building and more to create the perfect exuectution of your day. From timelines, to schedules, making floorplans, mockups and more, we are BUILDING the perfect event, not just decorating a space. We think of every part or the day, all the details most overlook. Our company pays for warehouse space to keep a large array of inventory. We constantly stay updated with trends and are always switching up our items and style to stay fresh.

*While we strongly recommend planning/ coordination services along with large gatherings/weddings it is not required but please note we will charge a standard planning service fee for all events or weddings.

What is the booking process?

Your first consultation is free. It typically lasts around 15-30 mins followed up with a quote. Quotes will be sent out within 24-48 hours depending on the complexity of your event.

If you would like to move further in the coordination/decorating process, a contract will be sent out. Your deposit will need to be paid in full before we can begin. As soon as your deposit is paid, we can begin planning!

Pricing? (or as you’re probably asking yourself, how much is this going to cost me ?!)

Eternal is very budget-friendly! We make miracles happen everyday. Whether your budget is small or large, we’re here to work with you and do what we can with what you have. Upon viewing your case, Eternal will determine a reasonable quote that aligns with you and the company. We also offer payment installments. Your deposit will be the first installment and your last installment must be paid 30 days prior to your event. It is very important to understand your event needs to be broken down into two parts, supplies and labor. So start to ask yourself how much is my budget or do I want to spend on decor and supplies? Then consider, how much am I willing to spend to pay a team to set that up (or how much would I want to be paid to set this up) and then that might help you come up with an average of what you will spend.

Is it too early to book or start planning?

Its genuinely never too early to start planning. If you think you’re too early to start planning, you’re probably right on time. For weddings especially the 18 month mark is a great time to dive into exploration and start booking your wedding planner and more expensive vendors. It will also allow you more time to make smaller installment payments to your vendors and by the end give you a better sense of ease. For larger events, 8-12 months would be a great recommendation and for smaller or more simpler events, 4-6 months.

Do you work with same sex couples?

It is important for us to note, at Eternal, we believe in inclusivity. We work with all people and do not discriminate based on race, ethnicity, background or sexual orientation. We love everyone (:
